If you click inside the "Username" or "Password" fields and then try to scan your badge, it will not work because the scan button turns white and becomes deactivated.

You need to make sure that the "Scan" button is green in order to use your badge to sign in. To reactivate the scan button and turn it green, simply click on the scan button 

Now you are ready to scan your badge to login.
